Greener Ways from A to B

Cruises

Honestly I think ships have outlived their usefulness for purposes other than war, commerce (fishing), and entertainment. I understand however that some sections of the world could not get by without ships. However for people who go on cruises how efficient are the cruises or even the ships that are carrying people on the cruises? To me it seems like that would be a big polluter in all aspects, fuel, materials on board (shopping, food, all that), amount of energy consumed? Is anyone able to clarify this possible issue? Or maybe they're actually a good thing. Its a perplexing question to me and I wonder if anyone would be able to answer it?

This is a great point. I mean cruises are pretty much a floating resort, so why not just go to one of this and save yourself the money and seasickness? I think this issue needs to be brought up and needs attention to because this is definitely a waste of fuel and energy. This is such an easy way for our society to cut down on the usage of our valuable resources, and we need to take advantage of that simplicity.

A trip to a cruise can be the trip of a lifetime for many travelers. Here the visitors may see amazing scenery, wildlife, historical sites, mountains and rain forests. However, one of the most important elements of a cruise is the itinerary and the destinations or ports of call. With over 75 percent of the earth covered with water, it is not surprising that you can cruise all of the continents of the world and enjoy a new aspect of life.
